Substation Controller
A critical Analytical Tool

GE’s D25 is a flexible, modular, and upgradable automation controller, suitable for both large and small substation automation projects in either new or retrofit situations. The D25 provides the tools and flexibility necessary to create customized automation and control applications including; communications & data concentrator, automation controller, metering & sequence of events fault recording, and transformer monitoring & control.
Features & Benefits
The D25 controller replaces multiple devices with a single unit. Unified design reduces wiring and maintenance costs. The D25 controller retrieves data from legacy and third-party devices such as relays, transfers it to a host or enterprise system, monitors and runs diagnostics of primary equipment and expands to meet future physical and functional station requirements.

Local HMI ( Human Machine Interface )
D25 has the option of being equipped with two different built-in screens. First option is a Data Display Panel to show status of different points (digital or analog) to the operator. The second option is a Graphical Display Panel (GDP) which is a touch screen monochrome LCD allowing users to configure dynamic displays with one-line diagrams and alarm screens. Local control is also supported with the GDP option making the GDP a fully-fledged local HMI.

Power Quality Information
The D25 measures and records total harmonic distortion, harmonic spectrum (DC to 21st harmonic), RMS trending, RMS profiling, voltage sags, swells and interruptions, allowing operators and analysts to examine the consistency of power going through the system and pinpoint problem area.

Digital Fault Recording
Fault records can be transferred automatically via a LAN to the substation computer or directly to a remote PC via email. Utility engineers can analyze these recordings to ensure the relay settings are correct.

Substation Matering
Software modules allow 1, 2, 2½ and 3 element metering on as many as six feeders on the same bus in a three-wire configuration, or as many as four feeders on the same bus in a four-wire configuration with revenue class metering accuracy (non-certified).

Soft Logic Automation Function
LogicLinx® is a soft logic automation tool that eliminates the costs of hardwiring automation schemes. The application allows you to create software automation applications that link components accurately and logically.
The C60/C95 are a single point for protection, control, metering, and monitoring in one integrated device that can easily be connected directly into DCS or SCADA monitoring and control systems like Viewpoint Monitoring as shown.
FlexLogic™ allows for the creation of customized C60 substation control schemes that include receiving trip and close commands from other devices and creating logic to replace the need for external lockout relays
